New Opportunity – Fall Field Day on October 22
At the request of teachers, the OSU Honors College is coordinating an Envirothon Fall Field Day on October 22, 2025 at Lake McMurtry (East Side Pavilion). We would love for you to be part of this event, which will welcome up to 100 high school students and their teachers. A special thank you to our event sponsor, the Environmental Science program at OSU.

Please register by October 6th at: https://honors.okstate.edu/envirothon.html

What is Field Day?
This free event introduces students to the Envirothon through hands-on sessions in soils, aquatics, forestry, wildlife, and the 2026 special topic: nonpoint source pollution. Students rotate through five stations and end the day with a mini-Envirothon exam.  OSU faculty and students will be on-site to meet your students to network and share college & career information.  Participants should bring their own lunch and dress to spend the day outside.

While students are participating in the Field Day, teachers will have the opportunity to participate in a Project WET professional development training and receive curriculum to take home. Foundations of Water Education is Project WET’s newest resource published in 2024 provides NGSS standards aligned lessons that help build student understanding of water conservation.

Tentative Schedule

  • 9:00–9:10 am – Welcome & Check-in
  • 9:15–1:40 pm – Five rotations (lunch at 11:30)
  • 1:45–2:30 pm – Mini-Envirothon
