The Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry is now accepting applications from Oklahoma institutions of higher education, state agencies or governmental subdivisions of Oklahoma, or trade groups promoting grape or wine production within the state.
Grants up to $50,000 are available for projects aiming to advance the grape or wine industry by focusing on grower research or education, product development, technical or marketing assistance for wineries or tourism.
Proposals must be emailed to Jason Harvey, ODAFF agricultural marketing coordinator, at Jason.Harvey@ag.ok.gov by 5 p.m. Oct. 26. The online application, required materials and checklist can be found at www.oda.state.ok.us/mktdev/ovecdrf.htm.
