An Informational Meeting regarding Imported Fire Ants is scheduled for 10 a.m., Oct. 16 at Tyree Ag on the north side of Laverne, Okla. The meeting is in response to hay donations following wildfires in western Oklahoma and the Panhandle in recent years.
The meeting will address questions such as “Do we still have fire ants?” and “How do we identify and control them?”
The meeting is sponsored by the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food and Forestry and the Oklahoma Cooperative Extension Service, along with some funding from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA).
