Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom Summer Road Trip Applications Now Available
OKLAHOMA CITY — Prepare to embark on a three-day road trip adventure with Oklahoma Ag in the Classroom. Applications are available for the 2025 Summer Road Trip set for June 10-12, 2025.
“The professional learning bus tour is an incredible opportunity for teachers to experience Oklahoma agriculture and return to their classroom with a network of resources, experiences and curriculum to share with their students,” said AITC Coordinator, Emily Ague. “Whether you’re deeply involved in agriculture or have never set foot on a farm, we encourage you to join us—no matter your background or experience level.”
Teachers will travel with AITC from Pauls Valley to experience agriculture in South Central Oklahoma. Sponsored by the Oklahoma Beef Council, road trip highlights will include tours of cattle ranches, pecan production and flower farms.
“Without the Oklahoma Beef Council’s support, many educators across Oklahoma would not be exposed to accurate information about agriculture literacy or activities to share with students,” said former AITC Teacher of the Year, Amber Bales. “I love the collaboration between all stakeholders and enjoy the camaraderie.”
The cost per teacher is $75. Hotel and meals are provided.
